Vermin's Requiem
A downloadable game for Windows
Vermin’s Requiem
Escape the bottom. Together.
Overview
Welcome to the bottom of the city.
Not the flashy kind with neon signs and flying cars – the kind beneath that. The one where the lights flicker, the air tastes wrong, and everything feels temporary. Down here live Vinnie and Morgan, two rats with one shared plan: get out.

Vermin’s Requiem is a two-player cooperative platformer about climbing upward through a decaying cyberpunk city that was never meant to be escaped. The higher you go, the harder the city resists: collapsing platforms, hostile environments, and puzzles that don’t care if you’re tired.
Down here, survival is not about strength. It’s about trust.
The only way forward is together.
Cooperative Platformer
This is a co-op 2.5D platformer built around mutual dependence.
Your actions drain determination, a resource that doesn’t refill on its own. To keep going, players must support each other – sometimes literally. When one slows down, the other has to step in.
As the climb continues, the rats don’t grow stronger – they grow different. One gains a grappling hook to pull upward. The other relies on propulsion boots to push forward. Both run on the same limited energy. Progress becomes a negotiation.
You move up together. Or you don’t move at all.
Key features

- A dark cyberpunk setting inspired by themes of inequality and survival
- Vertical level design focused on climbing and escape
